In many cases, my clients simply don’t need a long-term executive level marketer. In these cases, I work with the client to get their marketing programs to where we want them and then work with their teams on a periodic basis to make sure the program is running efficiently and reporting is presented as it should be. Essentially, once we have developed the program and it is up and running, I look after their more junior marketing staff on a ‘check-in’ basis, allowing senior management more time to focus on core areas of their specialization.

The first steps we take in the research and planning phase are crucial to our collective success. From competitive analysis and our SWOT assessment, it is vital that we work together to look at your market in order to define the best direction.
Objectives
With a strong foundation of understanding under our feet, defining objectives will give us a vision of where we want to be and what we want to achieve. We will work together with your team to ensure that every member of the team understands the vision.
Strategy
We all know the 4 P’s of marketing…Product, Price, Place and Promotion. But what about People, Personality and in some cases even Politics? At this stage, we are looking at all of the tools at our disposal - communications, digital, traditional media etc.. Essentially, if our objectives maps where we want to get to, then Strategy can be defined as ‘how do we get there’.
Tactics and Execution
This is where the rubber hits the road. Tactics are the actions we will take to execute on our strategy. In our objectives, we may have determined we want to increase online conversions. Our strategy may have been determined to increase communications to our online audience, so a tactic may be to execute on an email marketing campaign and drive traffic to our website.
Measurement
The end purpose of any marketing plan is to provide value and a positive ROI. Leland Street will report on each program or function with full transparency. Success will be based on pre-determined KPI’s and compared to our goals.
